Are you kidding me! If the Boyd Group ever caught wind of Hawaii passing any form of legalized gambling, they would be blowing up the phone lines to the Hawaii politicians and pulling all their “back room” financial support that we never hear about that kills a gambling bill every single session. Show some B**** and put it on the ballot for the taxpayers to decide!!!!!

Even a lottery could help. Legislators are slow intellectually out here

      • inverse says:

Agree. With all of the illegal local gambling and many thousands of Hawaii residents flying to Las Vegas and giving hundreds of millions of dollars to the State of Nevada, a Hawaii only lottery is perfectly acceptable and will NOT change or effect current gambling behaviors for Hawaii residents. As others mentioned Boyds and Hawn Air will massively grease political palms to make sure NO lottery or casino will ever be legalized in Hawaii.

Yup, why fly and pay all that plane fare and hotel when you can lose your a$$ at home? Lots of money being spent on another state’s economy.
