Women’s prison guard accused of sexually assaulting inmates

A 38 year-old prison guard is under investigation for multiple incidents of alleged sexual assault on three inmates at the Women’s Community Correctional Center in Kailua over a two-year period.
The suspect, who was hired in October 2007, was temporarily transferred in January 2016 from the Kailua women’s facility to the minimum-security Waiawa Correctional Facility.
The police said the female victims, ages 30, 31 and 34, were allegedly assaulted from March 2013 to November 2015.
The suspect was arrested on 37 counts of sexual assault and attempted sexual assault. He was arrested at the Waiawa facility at 6:10 p.m. Thursday and released two hours later, and no charges have been filed while the investigation continues.
No other details were released by the police or the Department of Public Safety, which is conducting its own investigation.
An internal administrative investigation is also being conducted, as is standard procedure whenever there are allegations of abuse, said Toni Schwartz, a spokeswoman for the prison facilities.

Aren’t they at the ages where they became consenting adults? 37 counts tells me they enjoyed it if they never reported it. Prison is boring for both parties so why not create a distraction to make time pass faster. Are there video evidence in the form of porno flicks? I think the public demands to see them before passing judgement. After all they were on prison grounds paid for by taxpayer funds.
Consent or lack of consent is irrelevant in the context of prisoner and guard at a State correctional facility, such misconduct is prohibited, and should be prohibited, in all circumstances because of the inequality of power and control. HRS 707-731

I suggest you see a therapist as your post makes me cringe. No man can just force himself upon a woman prison guard or not. There is law that makes it illegal for good reason. The guard represents the state’s authority and as such weild a lot of power over his charges. In other words he abused his authority.

They shouldn’t allow men ACO’s to be guards in womens prison. Its like putting the fox in charge of the hen house, what do you think he going to do?
Well, I expect him to obey the laws of the State, the laws of common sense, and the laws of acceptable behavior in a society for starters. I’ve known current and former ACOs including one I hired to work in a school and they’ve shown me that they understand honorable and appropriate behavior.

What if the guard is male but claims to identify as a female. Is it ok then?
