Diamonds win, postponed again

The Hawaii Diamonds defeated South Bend, Ind., 13-6 on Monday, completing a game that was suspended due to thunder and lightning on Sunday in West Palm Beach, Fla., in the 10U Cal Ripken World Series.

Connor Dempsey led the Diamonds with a 4-for-5 performance, adding two runs scored and three runs batted in. Skyler Unebasami was 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Kaiden Sonoda-Fukumoto earned the win, pitching one inning with two hits allowed. He also was 2-for-3 at the plate, with a run scored and two RBIs.

The second game was postponed, again due to thunder and lightning. The game will be made up today, as part of a doubleheader.
