Steven Meyers
Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate Steven Meyers failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center after work Wednesday and now faces an additional escape charge.
Meyers, 49, was supposed to return at 7:30 p.m.
Meyers is 6 feet tall and weighs 246 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
He was serving time for first-degree criminal property damage. His next parole hearing is scheduled for November.
Meyers is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program. Inmates in the work furlough program are either actively seeking employment or working in the community. Community custody is the lowest classification status.

Another inmate afraid to make it on the outside supporting himself. Rather return and live on the taxpayers’ backs.
We keep hearing about these easy escapes. One day someone is going to be hurt or killed by one of the persons escaping. Please fix the incarceration system.
Make them work on the fishing boats. Drop them off at the boat in the morning & pick them up when the boats come back in.
