Woman charged with assaulting officer in Haleiwa
A 34-year-old woman was charged Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Haleiwa.
Love Welch, of no known local address, was charged with assault of a law enforcement officer and fourth-degree arson. Her bail was set at $11,000.
Police officers on Tuesday responded to a report of a brush fire along Haleiwa Road at 5:25 p.m. Welch allegedly attacked one of the arresting officers, according to police.
