Assistant bought personal items with Lehua Elementary School funds, state attorney says
A former Lehua Elementary School employee used school money to buy for herself prescription contact lenses, beer, wine, a king size bed, clothing, food, a high definition television and a digital camera, said Chris Young, deputy state attorney general.
The employee, former school administrative services assistant Janel Echiberi, 35, pleaded guilty this morning to two counts of second-degree theft and one count of second-degree forgery.
