Firefighters rescue two lost hikers in Manoa

Firefighters helped two lost hikers walk out of Manoa Falls Trail just before 10 last night.

Fire Capt. Terry Seelig said the man and woman called for help shortly before 8 p.m. and they were located by firefighters after they contacted the pair by cell phone. A fire helicopter was turned back because of the gusty winds.

The hikers were not injured and were escorted out after they were located by firefighters on one of the trails leading to Manoa Falls.
