Gogobot.com

A major overhaul of the popular Gogobot app gives users more trip-planning features and a mobile-friendly design that’s easy to use and easy on the eyes.

» What it does: Sources where to eat, stay and play based on 675,000 recommendations and 60,000 city guides around the world. Plan your trip or find hot spots while you’re on the road.

» What’s hot: Heaps of new features, including the ability to share a travel itinerary among multiple users. Gogobot users also will enjoy being able to organize their itineraries day by day and sync them with multiple devices. And you don’t need to set up an account to use the app to book a hotel, find restaurants or discover travel inspiration.

» What’s not: I loved the plethora of results that came up when I searched for restaurants and things to do. They were tagged with themes, or "tribes," so you could fine-tune your results. But when I was in the app, I couldn’t click on tabs such as "foodies" or "families" to see all the items in that category. If you’d like to see or edit your "tribes" within the app, click on the "Filter" line in the bottom nav bar.

» Available: On Android, iOS, online

» Cost: Free
