Hawaii island brush fire closes Route 190
A brush fire has shut down a portion of Route 190 on Hawaii island.
Hawaii island police said the highway from Kaiminani Drive to the Daniel K. Inouye Highway is closed in both directions as fire crews battle a blaze between mile posts 24 and 25.
Motorists are being advised to take alternate routes.
