4 arrested in attack on teen who said ‘Blue lives matter’

Sylacauga, Ala. » Four black men are facing assault charges in connection with the beating of a white Alabama high school student who had posted pro-police comments online.

In a statement, Sylacauga Police Chief Kelley Johnson says four recent Sylacauga High School students were arrested Tuesday following the Sept. 30 attack against 17-year-old Brian Ogle.

Ogle’s mother, Brandi Allen, says her son responded to students wearing Black Lives Matter T-shirts at his school with “Blue lives matter,” a defense of police officers. He was hospitalized with serious head injuries.

Twenty-year-old Quartez Walker and 19-year-old Bobby Brown were arrested at Stillman College. Eighteen-year-old La Noah Ely, Jr. was arrested at Auburn University in Montgomery. Twenty-year-old Daveon Nix was arrested in Sylacauga.

Police have said the attack may have been racially motivated.

Most assuredly that is a hate crime, and should be prosecuted accordingly. I hope the boy fully recovers and wish to thank him for his support of me, a 25 year police Lt. veteran, military veteran, along with the rest of my brother and sisters in blue.

    • EwaWarrior says:

Agreed. Black Lives Matter is nothing more than a racist organization like the KKK.

      • bumbai says:

        Funded by George Soros.

      • Morimoto says:

I have my issues with BLM but to compare them to the KKK is ludicrous. The KKK, during its most influential time, sought to enforce a power structure that oppressed groups of people. BLM, at least in theory, seeks to have black people recognized as equal to whites and others. Now obviously there are tactics that are unlawful and may even constitute “terrorism” is some people’s eyes but they aren’t even close to the KKK.

        • Bergonia says:

I love how you added “at least in theory”. It’s just like Clinton, you have a private and a public view. Publicly BLM is about racial equality, privately it about racial superiority.

        • Morimoto says:

@Bergonnia, Yes publicly it’s about racial equality, you are right there. However I don’t agree with your assertion that privately it’s about racial superiority. You have to remember BLM isn’t an structured organization, it’s more a product of social media. There are no official members of BLM. I just take exception in comparing BLM to the KKK.

        • justmyview371 says:

No, BLM in theory ISN’T based on an effort to have equal rights. It is to create a race war.

    • Pocho says:

If I was their lawyer I’d ask for a quick speedy trial as Obama’s tenure in office is only months away. Can we say they could be pardoned? If Bush was running the County it’d be Bush’s fault and as we no Obama never accepts any blame but passes it on.

  2. katk234 says:

Blue loves do matter! Some blacks are out of control and end up doing stupid stuff like this, lock them up!

  3. paradiddle says:

People….get use to seeing more and more stories like this! I am only surprised the news article identified the attackers as “black”.

    • Pocho says:

It’s front page when it’s black on white or white on black crime. Obama and the Democratic Media likes to sensationalize racial crime, especially when it comes to white on black ones. I’m truly surprised the Media chose to print this BLM crime

      • bombay2101 says:

This story notwithstanding, Black on White crime rarely makes the headlines, and Black on Black crime never makes the headlines.
How many murders in South Chicago this year?
And isn’t the term Sub-Saharan African Americans? Those north of the desert are African – Arab, not black, but no less African. When Jesse Jackson coined the phrase, he showed his disrespect for Arabs.

    • mokebla says:

Is there a difference between a African American, a black man and a American? Last I check if you’re an American first or an illegal or a green card holder. Bottom line if you got God in you, all lives matter. Mahalo KeAkua~

      • Pocho says:

You’d be mob saying that at a BLM protest/rally, a white guy get beaten but if your an African American you may get a lot of slack talking li dat without physical damage. It’s a double standard “smh”

  4. lespark says:

Obama and Clinton founded Black Lives Matter to get the black vote out pure and simple. BLM doesn’t learn.

  5. Pocho says:

BLM fools not knowing how to use their protest, rallies, etc. to clean up the inner city crime. “smh” what a waste of a perfect brand to clean up Chicago’s black on black crime. Not that I want the black crime on blacks to shift unto the Whites though. Just stop CRIME be it black or white or inbetween PERIOD.

  6. 808comp says:

    Fools !!! All life matters.

    • paniolo says:

Yep. That’s why these 4 going end up behind bars for now. Most likely will be dead in a couple of years.

      • Pocho says:

don’t you see it yet. BLM will capitalize the event and turn this into a Crooked Criminal Justice system rally cry/protest. I can see it already, BLM clamoring these black perpetrators getting punished more than white’s would have. Maybe true as I don’t know the statitics but … .

  7. justmyview371 says:

The charge should be attempted murder for starters.

  8. btaim says:

Bernie was right when he said that All Lives Matter.

  9. ryan02 says:

Most murders are between people of the same race. Whites are overwhelmingly killed by other whites, and blacks are overwhelmingly killed by other blacks — the percentage of murders against someone of a different race are actually very small. But nobody wants to blame their own race for anything. I think blacks need to question whether the true threat against their safety is the police or their own community. And cops need to question why they are so irrationally afraid of blacks that they immediately shoot to kill.

  10. Oahuan says:

    <<>> You think?

  11. rayhawaii says:

To me the slogan Black Lives Matter and the organization BLM should change their wording. To me it doesn’t seem like black people care much for their lives. The prisons in America house 80% black people. Crime seems to be more important than education or living a successful life. I visited a prison in Virginia and looked like 95% of the people housed there were black. Black Lives Should Matter but how can it when they don’t care about their life.

  12. wrightj says:

Warning! Posting pro-police comments online may cause serious head injuries; he’s lucky he wasn’t killed.

  13. NanakuliBoss says:

Three of the four suspects were picked up at college. That’s says alot. Quick response in Alabama when it’s black on white. “Y’all boys can’t be doing that in Bama”! The number #1 college team,Alabama has 20 out of 22 starters being B.

  14. kokocats says:

its a shame that Black Lives Matter and Blues Lives Matter can’t work together to get rid of the bad apples in both groups

  15. NoFire says:

When will Obama, Jackson, and Sharpton weigh in on this one…never mind! I am sure they would make it out to be the assailants were victims somehow and the real victim instigated it by supporting police. All lives matter.

  16. hiredguns says:

All Lives Matter, anything else is a racial statement.

  17. nalogirl says:

Tr do they mean by “maybe racially motivated “. It is quite obvious that it was. BLM is a group that started with good intentions, but was overtaken by the agitators and gangs.
