Moped rider in 60s ’stable’ after being struck by hit-and-run driver

A moped rider in his 60s was struck by a car in Waianae late this afternoon, and the driver fled the scene.

Emergency Medical Services paramedics treated the man and transported him by ambulance to a trauma center in stable condition after the 4:48 p.m. hit-and-run incident that occurred at Glenmonger Street and Farrington Highway.

Police said the vehicle was described as a black, two-door Honda driven by a male driver.
