It looks like Caesars Entertainment will beat Steve Wynn’s Paradise Park in bringing the first zip line to the strip. Caesars has announced that the Fly LINQ zip line will be built in the LINQ Promenade, traveling the length of the commons between the Strip and the High Roller wheel. The total ride distance will be 1,080 feet, which falls in-between the length of Fremont Street’s SlotZilla “zip” and “zoom” lines. The 10 side-by-side lines will launch from a 122-ft. tower, significantly taller than the downtown tower, which stands at 77 feet. The zip line is expected to be zipping by “late next year.”

Dogs at the Plaza

The Plaza has added a third mural to its outer hotel walls. The latest covers 21 stories on the north-tower wall facing I-15 and was inspired by the art piece, Dogs Playing Poker.

Halal Guys to Caesars

A second Las Vegas location of the Halal Guys is opening at Caesars Palace. The Mediterranean fast-food outlet from New York City will open in the Forum Food Court and will stay open late to serve after-hour clubbers. The first Las Vegas Halal Guys opened last year a mile west of the strip.

Dirk’s Back

After a year’s absence, Dirk Arthur Wild Magic has returned to the Westgate. It will be playing in the smaller Westgate Cabaret and picking up as one of the city’s best-value shows, with tickets starting at $29.

Question: What’s the story on the town near Las Vegas that’s being turned into a marijuana-based tourist attraction?

Answer: The California town of Nipton, located off I-15 just past the Nevada border, has been purchased by American Green Inc., a cannabis company out of Arizona that plans to turn the entire town into a “pot-tourism destination.” The purchase price was $5 million and the company says it will invest about $2.5 million over the next year to create the weed mecca.
