Hawaiian Airlines to launch daily Maui-San Diego flights

Hawaiian Airlines will begin Maui-San Diego service on May 1 with its new narrow-body A321neo aircraft.

Hawaiian Airlines is beginning nonstop daily service between Kahului and San Diego and expanding seasonal summer service, including its first to an international location.

The state’s largest carrier said today it will begin Maui-San Diego service on May 1 with its new narrow-body A321neo aircraft. Hawaiian is offering a special $199 one-way fare for bookings through Dec. 11 for travel Monday through Thursday between May 1 and 24 on the new Maui-San Diego route.

Hawaiian also said it will add seasonal service between Narita International Airport in Tokyo and Honolulu with its larger Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft as well as use the A330 to supplement existing daily flights between Los Angeles and Maui. Hawaiian said it will use its A321neos for nonstop summer flights between San Francisco and Honolulu, and Oakland and Kona.
