Honolulu police released a sketch Friday of a suspect in a kidnapping and sex assault of a young girl in Waipahu Thursday.

Police said the juvenile was walking on Farrington Highway in Waipahu at about 4:25 p.m. when she was approached from behind by the suspect, who touched her inappropriately and wrestled her to the ground.

A witness driving by saw what happened and drove her vehicle toward the suspect, who fled on a bicycle.

Police did not release the age of the girl.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
