Police: Drunk driving suspect assaulted officer

A man being taken into custody on suspicion of drunk driving allegedly assaulted the arresting officer early Saturday morning on Keeaumoku Street

Police said the 39-year-old man was arrested outside his home address at about 1:25 a.m.

He was booked on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, first-degree assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest.

You know he may be right. All the police has to do is hang around till closing time for the bars in that neck of the woods, stop any driver, then give him a breathalyzer test and bingo, you got an arrest.
