Police asks public's help in identifying Walmart bike thief

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect captured on security video.

Police said the man entered the Walmart on Keeaumoku Street about 1:55 a.m. Jan. 16, selected a bicycle and left the store without paying. 

He threatened an employee who tried to stop him outside.

When I walk round Waikiki and Ala Moana Park in the early morning, it's extremely rare to see a bike chained to a post that is intact. Seat gone and the wheel that was not secured gone, chain gone, handle bars gone. I sometimes wonder what the replica looks like? Who fronts/sells items like that?
