Police arrest suspect in Salt Lake robberies

A 25-year-old Aliamanu man faces multiple charges  after he allegedly robbed an 18-year-old man and a security guard at the Salt Lake Shopping Center Thursday night.

Police said the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash from an 18-year-old man at about 6 p.m. The victim reported the theft to 62-year-old security guard.

When the security guard confronted the suspect, he allegedly  stole items from the guard as well and fled.

Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of second-degree robbery and second-degree theft.
