A retired Honolulu police major was arrested Thursday on suspicion of negligent homicide in the pedestrian death of Mililani resident Shari Afuso.
Charles T. Duncan, 72, also of Mililani, was released, pending further investigation. He has not been charged.
Duncan, contacted Thursday, declined to comment on the investigation.
"On the advice of my attorney, I’m not making any statement at this time," Duncan told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser by telephone.
