Girl, 12, seriously hurt at Makapuu tidepools
A 12-year-old girl was injured when she was knocked down by a wave at the Makapuu tidepools on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m.
Honolulu firefighters airlifted the girl to a secured landing area, where she was transferred to the care of Emergency Medical Services personnel.
She was transported to a local trauma center in serious condition.
