The University of Hawaii’s Kupono Fey blocks a shot in a match against the UCLA Bruins at the Stan Sheriff Center on Feb. 6 in Manoa.
Last week’s two road losses at Stanford led to Hawaii dropping one spot to No. 5 in today’s AVCA Division I-II Men’s Volleyball Top 15.
The Warriors (9-4, 4-4 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) continue their four-match road trip today and Tuesday at unranked USC (2-10, 2-10).
Long Beach State (11-2, 8-2) remained No. 1 this week, a unanimous choice with all 18 first-place votes. BYU (10-2, 8-2) traded places with UCLA (12-2, 8-2), the Cougars moving to No. 2 and the Bruins slipping to No. 3.
Stanford (10-2, 8-2) jumped two spots to No. 4. Rounding out the top 10 were Ohio State (10-3, 5-1 MIVA), Penn State (8-2, 3-0 EIVA), Loyola-Chicago (8-3, 3-1 MIVA), Pepperdine (6-3, 5-3) and UC Santa Barbara (10-5, 6-4).
