USPS offers reward for information on burglary

The U.S. Postal Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest in connection with a burglary at the Kunia post office.

The burglary happened June 7, when the office was closed, and officials said post office equipment was stolen. No mail was taken.

Postal Inspector Hilary Rickher said the reward is standard in burglary cases at post offices.

Rickher declined to say what post office equipment was taken and did not immediately have information on how much it was worth.

She said multiple suspects are believed to be involved.

Rickher also said that security at the post office has been reviewed and tightened in the wake of the burglary.

Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455.
