A Jet Ski rider was scooped out of waters off Oahu’s southern shore yesterday morning after taking on water during a trip to Molokai.

Lifeguards were assisted by U.S. Coast Guard and Honolulu firefighters in the rescue operation about three-quarters of a mile offshore of Alan Davis Beach and Makapuu Lighthouse about 10 a.m. yesterday.

The Jet Ski rider, who was not injured, was towed ashore near Makai Pier, said Ralph Goto, city water safety administrator.
