Former Waianae man charged in Big Island crime spree
Big Island authorities charged a 32-year-old former Waianae man yesterday in connection with a Big Island crime spree dating back several months.
Albert Joseph Botelho, who now lives in Paauhau, was arrested yesterday and charged today with two counts of second-degree theft, third-degree identity theft, forgery, accomplice to fraudulent use of a credit card, first-degree burglary, and two counts of accomplice to first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
Detectives cleared 22 more cases of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
Botelho’s bail was set at $105,000.
