Wells Fargo Advisors not affected by Wells Fargo Financial cuts
Wells Fargo Advisors complex manager for Hawaii, Tom McCarthy, said the closing of three Wells Fargo Financial offices in Hawaii does not affect Wells Fargo Advisors.
The Star-Advertiser reported in its print and online editions today that three Hawaii offices of Wells Fargo Financial are among 638 nationwide that will close in the next 60 days as Iowa-based parent company, Wells Fargo & Co., restructures its consumer finance operations.
McCarthy said the news caused concern among customers of Wells Fargo Advisors, a separate company. He wanted to assure the customers that there is no change at Wells Fargo Advisors.
Wells Fargo Advisors has three offices and 43 advisors in Hawaii, McCarthy said. He encouraged clients with questions to call Wells Fargo Advisors at 547-5200.
