» Stephen Greenleaf of Kapaa, Kauai, was promoted to the rank of Eagle Scout by the Aloha Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He belongs to Troop 105, chartered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kapaa (K2 Ward).

» The State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers (SHOPO) is donating $50,000 toward a memorial to honor Hawaii law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.
» Mental Health America of Hawaii has received the following grants in support of the Youth Suicide Prevention/Intervention project: McInerny Foundation, $18,000; G.N. Wilcox Foundation, $25,000; Friends of Hawaii Charities, $7,500; Kosasa Foundation, $5,000; and Bank of Hawaii Foundation, $5,000.
