  • COURTESY JOANNE LIBARIOS
The Libarios family of Honolulu discovered a Hawaiian souvenir shop near Ueno Park in Tokyo during their trip to Japan in May. Tasha Libarios stopped to flash the shaka sign with the family's tour guide, Senichi Nagai. Besides Tokyo, Tasha and her parents, Herman and Joanne, toured Kyoto and Hiroshima for two weeks. Joanne said, "Every time we mentioned we were from Hawaii, people got overly excited and kept on remarking how they love the Hawaiian Islands."
