Friends of a Kauai woman whose body was found July 3 are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of her killer.

Police opened a homicide investigation after the body of Amber Jackson, 57, was found in a wooded area a few miles from her Kapahi home. Jackson worked as a secretary at the Kauai office of the Hawaii State Teachers Association.

Anyone with information on Jackson’s death is urged to call the Kauai Police Department at 241-1711, the department’s Investigative Services Bureau at 241-1696 or CrimeStoppers at 241-1887.

The Hawaii State Teachers Association established a memorial fund in honor of Jackson. Send checks to Hawaii State Teachers Association, 1200 Ala Kapuna St., Honolulu, HI 96819. Checks should be made out to “HSTA Amber Jackson Memorial Fund.”

For more information on the memorial fund, call Ann Hataoka, HSTA Director of Finance and Accounting, at 840-2249 or ahataoka@hsta.org.
