Haleiwa’s Ron Artis Family Band is seeking the public’s help in recovering a pair of instruments believed to have been stolen on Tuesday.

The band, made up of artist and musician Ron Artis and his 11 children, was performing at the small theater space behind Banzai Sushi Bar in Haleiwa when a Fender Stratocaster guitar and vintage Hofner Beatles Bass were taken from their studio next door, Artis said.

The group achieved online celebrity thanks to more than 100 videos they’ve posted on YouTube.

Anyone with information about the stolen instruments is asked to call 637-1211 or 222-7589, or email ronartis@lava.net.
