Honolulu’s Michelle Wie closed with a 1-under 71 today at the RICOH Women’s British Open played at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, United Kingdom.

Her 72-hole total of even-par 288 left her in a tie for 17th. Yani Tseng (73) held on to win her second major of the year with an 11-under 277. She finished one stroke ahead of Katherine Hull (70—278).

Wie fell out of contention with a 76 on Friday. All four of her rounds were in the 70s as she pocketed $37,515 for the week. The Punahou School graduate has earned $321,300 in 13 events. She missed a top-10 finish by two strokes.

The Stanford University student carded two bogeys and three birdies. For the second straight day, she birdied the last two holes, both par-5s. She hit 27 of 56 fairways and 55 of 72 greens in regulation. She averaged 277.63 yards off the tee and needed a whopping 129 putts, averaging 32.25 a round and 1.79 a hole.
