Man who drowned while paddleboarding off Waialua is identified
The 56-year-old Honolulu man who drowned while paddleboarding off Waialua has been identified by the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office as Clayton Kaya.
An autopsy done today showed that Kaya drowned in an accident, the office said.
Police said Kaya went paddleboarding with family and friends about 1:30 p.m., but was found floating face down in the water about 45 minutes later. Paramedics rushed him to Wahiawa General Hospital where he died.
