Elderly man fights off younger intruder in Waikiki apartment
An elderly man struggled with a 22-year-old intruder who broke into his ground floor Waikiki apartment early this morning, police said.
The 67-year-old victim told police that an intruder entered his home through a sliding glass door at about 1 a.m. After a struggle, the suspect ran from the apartment and police arrested a 22-year-old Kaneohe man short distance away at Kapuni and Cleghorn streets for suspicion of unauthorized entry into a dwelling.
