DEE ROCKS THE HALL 4. Kool Gold 107.9's Bart DaSilva, left, talked backstage with Joey Dee and Tommy Mara Sept. 4 at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Dee headlined the show and rocked the hall with Mara as his guest. Dee did his big hits in top form and, yes, he still does the Peppermint Twist. Mara, representing the Crests, dedicated "16 Candles" to the late Johnny Maestro and sang it beautifully. He also got a huge round of applause when he sang "Over the Rainbow" in honor of Iz.

TAG CELEBRATES MOVE 2. Artistic Director Brad Powell and Production Manager Laurie Tanoura were co-hosts Aug. 29 as The Actors Group celebrated their move to Dole Cannery with a "theater warming" party for their financial supporters at the new theater. TAG's season-opening production of "Duets" is doing so well that there have been wait lists for some performances.
