Crash puts biker in critical condition
A motorcyclist was in critical condition last night after a crash on Aiea Heights Drive near Hoio Street.
The man apparently lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into an embankment at about 6:20 p.m.
Emergency Medical Services personnel treated and transported the man in critical condition to an area hospital, according to EMS spokesman Bryan Cheplic.
No other vehicles appeared to have been involved, and no one else was injured, Cheplic said.
Suspect allegedly ditches ‘ice,’ pipe
A 42-year-old man who was arrested for investigation of driving a stolen motorcycle in the Kapahulu area early yesterday morning allegedly discarded a glass pipe and a substance resembling crystal methamphetamine in the back of a Honolulu police patrol car while being taken in to be booked, police said.
The man was booked on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle, driving without a license, promoting a dangerous drug and prohibited acts related to drug paraphernalia.

The man, who has a Vineyard Boulevard address, was stopped at 1:44 a.m. yesterday when an officer saw him riding a motorcycle with an expired safety check, police said.
He was being taken to the Central Receiving Division to be booked when the officer discovered a clear glass pipe and white substance in the patrol car, police said.
Entry, threat, assault lead to arrest
A man allegedly entered his ex-girlfriend’s Hawaii Kai home early yesterday morning, threatened to kill her and her friend, then assaulted the friend, police said.
The 31-year-old ex-boyfriend, who lives on 15th Avenue, allegedly entered the Opihikao Way home illegally at 3:14 a.m. and threatened to kill the two women, ages 31 and 27, police said.
The man was arrested inside the home, police said.
