Hawaii sweeps New Mexico State for first road win
Brittany Hewitt and Chanteal Satele each had 11 kills to lead the No. 6 Hawaii women’s volleyball team to a 25-16, 25-14, 25-14 victory over New Mexico State tonight at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, N.M.
Hewitt had no errors in 12 swings to hit .917, setting a UH rally score record for hitting percentage. She was also in on five blocks.
The Rainbow Wahine (13-1, 3-0 Western Athletic Conference) also got 16 digs from Elizabeth Ka’aihue and 11 from Kanani Danielson.
The Aggies (8-8, 2-1) were led by Kayleigh Giddens’ 12 kills.
Hawaii concludes its first road trip of the season at Louisiana Tech Friday.
