Honolulu police arrested a 21-year-old Waikiki woman who allegedly scammed a 37-year-old man out of $900 that he gave her to buy airline tickets.

Police said the victim responded to an Internet offer of cheap airline tickets in February. He gave the woman the money after she showed him the airline reservations.

But police said the man later discovered the reservations were canceled.

Police located the woman yesterday afternoon in the Discovery Bay complex and arrested her for theft.
