The Honolulu Department of Facility Maintenance and Department of Emergency Management are testing outdoor warning sirens from 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. today.

The sirens being tested are at Hanauma Bay and Makapuu Beach Park.

Tests are scheduled tomorrow near Haaula Beach Park from about 9:30 a.m. until noon.

The tests are being conducted to ensure that these sirens are operating at full power and providing optimal range.

Residents and businesses in the surrounding communities may hear several 20-second siren soundings during the testing periods.
