A 46-year-old Waianae woman, who was the subject of a missing person alert, was found unresponsive in a Waikiki hotel early today and later died, police said.

On Monday, CrimeStoppers and police asked the public for help in finding Linda Bertsch, who was last seen leaving her home that morning. She had been described as being possibly distraught and in need of medical attention.

Police said today that Bertsch was found unresponsive at a hotel at about 2:30 a.m. She was taken to a hospital where she died.
