Pedestrian killed near Waianae High School
A 45-year-old Waianae woman died Tuesday after she was hit while in a crosswalk near Waianae High School.
Police said about 10:50 a.m. a Buick sedan driven by a 38-year-old Waianae man hit the woman who was crossing Farrington Highway near Alawa Place.
The woman died at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center.
She was Oahu’s 50th traffic fatality this year compared to 46 at this time last year.
