» Colorado linebacker B.J. Beatty (Kahuku ’06) was honored with the Tom McMahon Award for dedication and work ethic at the team’s yearly awards banquet Saturday. Beatty assisted on a tackle and fellow senior Michael Sipili (Damien ’06) had seven tackles in a 45-17 loss to Nebraska on Friday.
» Mississippi quarterback Jeremiah Masoli (Saint Louis ’06) finished 24-for-44 for 261 yards and a touchdown in a 31-23 loss to Mississippi State on Saturday, ending his college career. Masoli finished with only 12 rushing yards on 11 carries, but set the school’s all-time record for rushing yards by a quarterback in a season with 544. He ended his one season at Mississippi with more than 2,000 passing yards and 20 total touchdowns.
» Stanford senior defensive lineman Matt Masifilo (Campbell ’07) had five tackles and a sack in a 38-0 win over Oregon State. Senior Aaron Nichols (Kamehameha ’06) caught five passes for 53 yards and junior Brandon Hardin (Kamehameha ’07) made six solo tackles to lead the Beavers. Sophomore Feti Unga (Kahuku ’06) and senior Suaesi Tuimaunei (Kahuku ’06) chipped in three tackles each for Oregon State.
» UCLA sophomore Dalton Hilliard (Punahou ’09) made three tackles and blocked a punt and freshman Seali’i Epenesa (‘Iolani ’10) made his first college solo tackle in a 55-34 loss to Arizona State.
» Texas Tech junior linebacker Sam Fehoko (Farrington ’07) had three tackles and broke up a pass in a 35-20 win over Houston.
» Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o (Punahou ’09) finished with six tackles and fellow sophomore Robby Toma (Punahou ’09) caught two passes for 15 yards in a 20-16 victory over USC on Saturday.

» New Mexico State sophomore linebacker B.J. Adolpho (Kahuku ’05) had five tackles and freshman QB Andrew Manley (Leilehua ’10) finished 20-for-35 for 135 yards in a 59-24 loss to Hawaii.
» Washington freshman defensive end Hau’oli Jamora (Kahuku ’10) had six tackles and sophomore defensive tackle Semisi Tokolahi (Hilo ’09) had three tackles and a sack in a 16-13 win over Cal.
» Idaho junior Kama Bailey (Damien ’08) had four catches for 24 yards and a 24-yard run in a 23-20 loss to Fresno State. Junior linebacker Robert Siavii (Leilehua ’08) finished with four tackles and recovered two fumbles and sophomore Conrad Scheidt (Kamehameha ’09) had two tackles, including one for loss, for the Vandals.
» Brigham Young junior Travis Uale (Kamehameha ’05) had four tackles in a 17-16 loss to Utah.
Women’s volleyball
» Texas freshman libero Sarah Palmer (Hawaii Baptist ’10) had 11 digs and an ace in a four-set victory over Iowa State to end the regular season. The Longhorns host Texas San-Antonio on Friday in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
» Long Beach State junior Lauren Minkel (‘Iolani ’08) had 13 digs and three assists in a three-game sweep of Seattle University on Saturday to close the regular season. Minkel averaged 15.7 digs per match in three wins in the Mizuno Thanksgiving Tournament over the weekend. The 49ers will play San Diego in the first round of the NCAA tournament Friday. C’era Oliveira (Hawaii Baptist ’10) is a freshman libero for the Toreros.
» Rice junior outside hitter Jordan Meredith (Kamehameha ’08) posted 10 kills and 10 digs as the Owls beat Houston in five sets to close their season on Saturday.
Men’s basketball
» Willamette (Ore.) junior forward Taylor Mounts (‘Iolani ’08) scored 19 of his career-high 33 points in the first half of a 104-97 victory over Corban University on Friday in the Capital City Classic.
Women’s basketball
» Utah sophomore Iwalani Rodrigues (Kalani ’08) scored 15 points on 6-for-12 shooting and added seven rebounds and an assist in 31 minutes of a 51-45 win over Hartford on Friday. Rodrigues averaged 9.7 points per game in the Caribbean Challenge, helping the Utes to a 1-2 record.
» Cal State Northridge sophomore Janelle Nomura (Punahou ’09) scored a career-high 24 points in a 74-68 loss to Chattanooga on Saturday in the consolation game of the Woodland Hills Holiday Inn Basketball Classic. Sophomore forward Violet Alama (Kalani ’09) added nine points and 10 rebounds and senior Analee Viena-Lota (Kamehameha ’07) had four points, five rebounds and an assist off the bench for the Matadors.
» Massachusetts Institute of Technology sophomore forward Anna Merrifield (Punahou ’09) finished with 11 points, five rebounds and two assists in a 64-32 win over Fisher College on Saturday.
» Menlo (Calif.) junior guard Bryanna Batts (St. Francis ’08) finished with 12 points, four rebounds and three assists in a 72-64 loss to Oregon Tech on Friday.
» Montreat (N.C.) College senior Siutiti Takai (St. Francis ’06) pulled down a season-high 12 rebounds in a 71-57 victory over North Carolina Wesleyan last Wednesday to remain undefeated at 7-0.
Men’s soccer
» California Baptist freshman midfielder Marc Hope (Hawaii Baptist ’09) had an assist in the Lancers’ 3-1 loss to Holy Names in the first round of the NAIA tournament Saturday.
