BUFFALO BILLS
Starting linebacker Reggie Torbor is done for the season after being placed on injured reserve because of a shoulder injury that will require surgery.
Torbor finished with 41 tackles after signing with the Bills as a free agent. He was hurt in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Bills claimed tight end Scott Chandler after he was waived by the Dallas Cowboys to take Torbor’s roster spot.
HOUSTON TEXANS
Safety Bernard Pollard has been fined $40,000 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness against Justin Gage of the Tennessee Titans.
Pollard has been docked for striking Gage in the head area Sunday when the Titans receiver was defenseless. The amount of the fine was so hefty because Pollard is a repeat offender.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Turns out the "sprained" right foot of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger actually is broken.
The fifth metatarsal bone or the outside metatarsal on Roethlisberger’s right foot is broken. It was a previous break that was re-injured in the first quarter of Sunday’s game in Buffalo.
The Steelers, who had been listing the foot as sprained, issued a clarification Thursday, reporting that "Ben’s current injury is an aggravation of an old injury where scar tissue is present."
Roethlisberger has said he fully expects to play tomorrow in Baltimore.
Steelers trainer John Norwig has retrofitted a football shoe with two metal plates to help protect the broken foot and also provide support. Once he steps out of his shoes, Roethlisberger limps heavily around the locker room.
