HPU to Tournament of Champions

Defending NCAA II softball champion Hawaii Pacific headlines the 22-team field in the 10th Mizuno Tournament of Champions hosted by Cal State Stanislaus in April.

The Sea Warriors won the event in 2009 but lost in the semifinals last season to Central Washington. HPU’s opening-round opponents include Chico State, which the Sea Warriors defeated in the NCAA Super Regional to advance to the College World Series.

Chaminade and Hawaii-Hilo are among the other PacWest teams competing in the April 1-3 tournament from the PacWest.
