Two water mains break, flooding homes in Aiea
Flooding was reported in two Aiea locations, but not because of the rain.
The Board of Water Supply said a 4-inch water main broke about 6:30 a.m. and sent water cascading into the first floor of the two-story home at 99-049 Nalopaka Place.
Two Honolulu Fire Department companies responded and helped siphon water out of the home.
Another 4-inch main broke about 9:30 last night at 99-1028 Aiea Heights Drive, near Hokio Place. About 11 homes were left without water.
