Nicholas Velasquez poured in 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and DeForest Buckner added 12 as No. 4-ranked Punahou overpowered Mid-Pacific 53-32 in an ILH boys basketball game last night at the Owls’ gym.

The Buffanblu scored all 53 of their points from the field, missing on their one free-throw opportunity in the game.

Patrick Matthews led the Owls with 12.
