A 29-year-old Kapaa man was injured in a one-car crash in Wailua Homesteads early this morning.
Chaise Lindstedt was driving toward Wailua Homesteads in a sport utility vehicle on Kuamoo Road near the Holoholoku Heiau at 2:30 a.m. when his vehicle went off the roadway and flipped in a pasture.
Kauai firefighters removed Lindstedt from the vehicle and medics took him to Wilcox Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Lindstedt was the only person in the vehicle.
Kuamoo Road was closed for two hours following the crash and was reopened about 5:30 a.m.
Police are investigating the accident.
