The man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery at the Kapolei Police Station.
Police said a 68-year-old man confronted the man after he took the parrot from its perch in the morning hours of Nov. 17. The assailant tried to punch the older man and strike him with a leaf blower that he was holding, then dropped the parrot after it bit his hand, police said.
The assailant fled but was later identified and arrested.
