Two teenagers arrested in robbery at a Waipahu park

Two teenagers were arrested after they allegedly tried to rob a boy at Waipahu District Park yesterday afternoon.

The victim was approached by two young males who demanded his belongings, police said. When the juvenile victim refused, one suspect blocked his path while the other forcibly grabbed his belongings, police said.

Both suspects fled but were found and arrested by police. A Waipahu man, 19, is being held pending a second-degree robbery charge. There is no other information on the other suspect, a juvenile.
