Weaving and kimonos

Learn how to weave or tie an obi on a traditional kimono at Second Saturday today at the Hawaii State Art Museum. The Hawaii Handweaver’s Hui is going to teach kids and grown-ups different styles of weaving, including using a table loom and loopers. Hands-on activities take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Galleries are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Hawaii State Art Museum is at 250 S. Hotel St. Admission is free.
