All-clear given after evacuation at state Attorney General’s office
Officials gave the all-clear at noon today, after closing part of Queen Street and evacuating a state office building when a suspicious package was delivered there this morning.
Queen Street from Punchbowl to Mililani streets had been closed.
The fire department’s hazardous materials team investigated the package. Concrete was found inside, a spokesman said.
At about 10:30 a.m., there was a report of a suspicious envelope delivered to 425 Queen St., the Hale Auhau building that houses the state Attorney General’s Office.
The Honolulu Police Department did not activate its bomb squad.
