Suspect held in Waikiki stabbings
A 43-year-old man is in the police cell block pending attempted murder charges following the stabbing of two men in Waikiki yesterday.
The man got into an argument with two others at the Lemon Road apartment complex shortly after 2 p.m. When the argument escalated, two men, ages 18 and 22, were stabbed in the torso. They were taken to the hospital in serious but guarded condition.
The suspect, of no permanent address, was arrested nearby at Paoakalani Avenue. He is being held on two counts of attempted murder, third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug, fourth-degree sexual assault and contempt of court.
