The Honolulu Police Department has extended its open recruitment period for prospective officers until Thursday.

Applicants must be at least 20 years old, hold high school diplomas or equivalent, and be U.S. citizens. They must also pass an extensive background check, and a physical trainability test. Starting pay is $51,240.
